Apprenticeship bonus slot
Every apprenticeship hire gives you +1 free slot on top of your plan, for as long as that placement is active. That extra slot lets you bring in a more experienced candidate at the same time — so the business keeps running while your apprentice gets up to speed. Take on two apprentices and you have two bonus slots. It's our way of making it easier to invest in entry-level talent without putting pressure on the rest of your team.
How slots work
A slot is only occupied once both parties have signed an agreement. Permanent hires free their slot after the trial period — so your permanent team doesn't block you from covering sick days or taking on temps.
Send a request
Browse and send a hiring request for free. No slot is used yet — the candidate can accept or decline without any commitment on your side.
Agreement signed
Once both parties sign the agreement, one slot is occupied while the hire is processed through to clearance.
Slot freed
Permanent and part-time hires hold the slot for their trial period (minimum 1 month), then free it automatically. Apprenticeship hires free the slot at clearance. Sick cover and temporary placements hold the slot until you mark the placement as ended.

Common questions
What counts as an active slot?
A slot is occupied once an agreement is signed. Permanent and part-time hires hold the slot during their trial period — or for a minimum of 1 month if no trial is set — then free it automatically. Apprenticeship hires free the slot at clearance. Sick cover and temporary placements hold the slot until you mark them as ended.
Can I send the same candidate a request for a different role?
Yes — each hiring request is independent. If you have two slots available you can run two simultaneous requests, including two for the same candidate on different tracks.
What happens if the candidate declines?
Nothing — no slot was ever used. Pending and declined requests are free. A slot is only consumed once the agreement is signed.
Is browsing and shortlisting included?
Yes. You can browse candidates, filter, shortlist, and send hiring requests on any plan without using a slot. Slots are only consumed when an agreement is signed.
How does the apprenticeship bonus work?
Each active cleared apprenticeship placement gives you +1 bonus slot on top of your plan limit. Two active apprentices = +2 bonus slots. The bonus lasts as long as the placement is active.
